Ronnie Brown Arrested for DUI

The Miami Herald reports that Ronnie Brown was arrested in Atlanta late Friday night on suspicion of DUI. Brown was initially pulled over for changing lanes without signaling and “did not perform well” during field-sobriety tests. Brown has no prior record or history of off-field issues, so this shouldn’t lead to an NFL suspension. It may, however, affect the Dolphins’ view of Brown as he enters a contract season. The team begins its offseason conditioning program on Monday.

Dansby will Visit Miami on Friday

Free agent Karlos Dansby confirmed that his first visit will be in Miami on Friday. He’s not on a flight to South Florida because he was just interviewing live with ESPN. The Falcons and Redskins are also said to be interested, but the Dolphins have to be considered the prohibitive favorites to land Dansby.

Bears Met with Peppers Agent

The Chicago Tribune reports the Chicago Bears met with the player rep for free agent Julius Peppers over the past weekend. We’re waiting more information because a meeting to discuss Peppers before the onset of free agency would constitute tampering.
