It Appears that McNabb will be Traded After All

Updating a previous item, the Associated Press reports the Eagles will only deal Donovan McNabb for a pick in the top 42 selections of the upcoming draft. In line with previously reported rumors, the Raiders and Bills, considered the early favorites to land McNabb, have the 39th and 41st picks respectively.

March 22nd, 2010 Nathan Nau The Miami Herald reports that Ronnie Brown was arrested in Atlanta late Friday night on suspicion of DUI. Brown was initially pulled over for changing lanes without signaling and “did not perform well” during field-sobriety tests. Brown has no prior record or history of off-field issues, so this shouldn’t lead to an NFL suspension. It may, however, affect the Dolphins’ view of Brown as he enters a contract season. The team begins its offseason conditioning program on Monday.

March 6th, 2010 Nathan Nau According to ESPN’s John Clayton, Julius Peppers’ six-year deal with the Bears is worth a record-setting $91.5 million. Clayton reports that Peppers could make even more if he hits escalators based on Pro Bowls, sacks, and Defensive POY honors. He’s guaranteed $42 million, which is a league record. Peppers is now the highest-paid non-QB in football. Chicago promised to come out spending, and has delivered.
