Each week I will fearlessly predict the outcomes of all the NFL games on the schedule. To date, I hold a record of 73-36 (9-6 in week 16) and I’m a shade behind the ESPN leader (Hodge) at a winning percentage of 66% to 68%.
Indianapolis @ Buffalo
Prediction: Buffalo 21, Indianapolis 9. The Indianapolis Colts will be resting everyone in order to be healthy for the playoffs.
Jacksonville @ Cleveland
Prediction: Jacksonville 31, Cleveland 24. The Jaguars will run all over the Browns, ending their three-game winning streak.
Chicago @ Detroit
Prediction: Chicago 28, Detroit 14. Cutler will end a disappointing 2009 with two solid games.
San Francisco @ St. Louis
Prediction: San Francisco 17, St. Louis 13. The 49ers have a tough defense and points will be hard to come by in this game.
Pittsburg @ Miami
Prediction: Pittsburg 24, Miami 16. The Steelers will take out their frustration on the Dolphins.
New York Giants @ Minnesota
Prediction: New York Giants 24, Minnesota 21. The Giants will win this game and send the Vikings scrambling into the playoffs.
Atlanta @ Tampa Bay
Prediction: Atlanta 17, Tampa Bay 6. The Falcons look to end the 2009 season on a positive note.
New Orleans @ Carolina
Prediction: Carolina 17, New Orleans 10. The saints also hobble into the playoffs.
New England @ Houston
Prediction: New England 28, Houston 21. I should probably pick Houston in this game, but I don’t think the Patriots will want to enter the playoffs on a positive note and will not rest anyone.
Philadelphia @ Dallas
Prediction: Philadelphia 35, Dallas 21. The Eagles are peaking at the right time.
Kansas City @ Denver
Prediction: Denver 31, Kansas City 20. The Broncos are the only team with something to play for.
Baltimore @ Oakland
Prediction: Baltimore 31, Oakland 0. In a really nasty game, look for Ray Rice to rush for 200 yards and for this to be the final straw in Al Davis firing Tom Cable.
Green Bay @ Arizona
Prediction: Arizona 24, Green Bay 21. This will be a very good game and the Cardinals are just a little bit better at this point.
Washington @ San Diego
Prediction: San Diego 28, Washington 7. Believe it or not, the Chargers are one of the NFLs best teams and the Redskins have already begun the head coach search for 2010.
Tennessee @ Seattle
Prediction: Tennessee 16, Seattle 14. I thought the Seahawks would have a better team this season, expect major changes in the offseason.
Cincinnati @ New York Jets
Prediction: Cincinnati 28, New York Jets 24. I believe the Bengals are good enough to win this game on the road.
